Help with Bitewise: how to get an answer, and the questions people ask most often.
How to get help
Start in the chat. Ask ChatGPT what Bitewise can do or how to do something: most questions are answered there.
The operator’s contact details are published where you obtained the app, for example on its page in the ChatGPT app directory.
When you write, say what you asked for, what happened instead and roughly when. Do not send passwords or medical details.
Common questions
- How do I log a meal?
- In a ChatGPT conversation with Bitewise enabled, send a photo of the food or describe it, for example “two eggs and toast with butter for breakfast”. ChatGPT estimates the items and amounts, and the meal appears as a card in your diary. If you know only the calories, say so: “a snack, about 200 kcal”.
- How do I fix a meal?
- On the meal card, change the grams or millilitres of any item. Or say what to change: “the rice was 150 g, not 250”, “I ate half of it”, “remove the sauce”, “move it to lunch”. If you delete a meal by mistake, press Undo or ask to restore it.
- How do I log weight, water or activity?
- Say it in the chat: “my weight is 72.4 kg”, “a glass of water, 250 ml”, “30 minutes of running”.
- Are the numbers exact?
- No. They are estimates that depend on what ChatGPT recognises and on the amounts you confirm. Correct anything that looks wrong.
- How do I export my data?
- Write “export my data” in the chat. You get CSV files that open in any spreadsheet program. The download link works for 15 minutes; ask again to get a new one.
- How do I erase my data?
- Write “erase all my data” in the chat and confirm. Everything stored about you is removed at once, including your goal and settings. This cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.
- Does the server keep my food photos?
- No. ChatGPT analyses the photo. This server receives only text and numbers.
