What the service is

Bitewise is a food diary that works inside ChatGPT. It stores the meals, body weight, water and activity you log, and shows totals and statistics. It is provided by the operator of this server. It is an independent app, not made or endorsed by OpenAI. Your use of ChatGPT itself is governed by OpenAI’s terms.

Who can use it

You must be 13 or older. For users aged 13 to 17 the app does not create weight-change plans and offers only an estimate for keeping the current weight.

Acceptable use

• Use the service for your own personal diary.
• Do not enter other people’s personal data.
• Do not enter diagnoses, medication or other medical records.
• Do not try to break, overload or probe the server, get around its request limits, or reach someone else’s data.
• Do not use the service in a way that breaks the law or the rules of ChatGPT.

Estimates, not medical advice

Calories, nutrients, energy burned, targets and trends are estimates. They depend on what ChatGPT recognises in your photo or text and on the amounts you confirm, and they can differ from the real values. Check the entries and correct what looks wrong.

Bitewise is a general wellness tool for logging and statistics. It is not a medical device. It does not give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not intended for managing a medical condition. If you are under 18, pregnant, or have a health condition or a history of an eating disorder, talk to a qualified professional before you change your diet.

The app refuses calorie targets and goal weights below its safety limits. These limits are a precaution, not a recommendation for you personally.

Your data

What you log is yours. You can export or erase it at any time.

Availability

The operator tries to keep the service running but does not promise that it will always be available or work without errors. The service can be changed, paused or shut down. It also depends on ChatGPT, which the operator does not control. Export your data if you want your own copy.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. In particular, the operator does not warrant that the estimates are correct or that the service is fit for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for decisions you make on the basis of the numbers shown. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.

Ending use and erasing data

You can stop using the service at any time. To remove your data, write “erase all my data” in the chat and confirm. Everything stored about you is erased at once and cannot be restored. Disconnecting the app in ChatGPT does not by itself erase what is stored here.

The operator may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the new text is published on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the service after that date, the new terms apply to you.
